What is hardware in computer ?
Computer performs some operations to solve problems.For this the various unit of a computer system must be perform and co-ordinate all operations.
Main unit of computer :
>A computer has 3 main unit-
1-input unit,2-Processing unit,3- out put unit.These are the physical unit of computer system.These unit constitute the hardware of computer.
>The comuter has its Own internal language.
>The computer is essentially made off electric components,All these components are capable of generating any one of the two states, either a low or a high.
-it is difficult to talk always in term of currents and voltage to represent information there fore Computer scientist use a special convention,A high symbolically represented by a 1 and a low represented by a 0.
-The 1s and 0s are known as binary digit.or in short bits.
-Computer always work with bits.They do not understand any other form.
-Computer scientist use combination of 8 bits taken together to represent various symbols.
-The earliest computers ware designed so that there components could work with 8 bits at a time.
-The power of two closest to a kilo(1000)is 2 to the power 10 =1024
